Hobo Outdoor Co. tidbit: Bass Reeves was the first black Deputy U.S. Marshal west of the Mississippi River. He was born into slavery and later fled and lived with the Indians. He went on to become one of the most successful lawmen in history. Reeves arrested over 3,000 felons and killed 14 outlaws in self defense.
